Ways to Locate Rabbit Breeders
There are several different ways that you can go about locating rabbit breeders. Traditionally when somebody wanted to purchase rabbits they would ask around and maybe make inquires at local rabbit shows. Now with the birth of the internet, locating rabbit breeders has become a LOT easier…
I founded this site (rabbitbreeders.us) with the purpose of helping people like you find local rabbit breeders. This breeders directory has proven to be a great place to help connect rabbit buyers and breeders.
To help make the process of searching for breeders as easy as possible I setup two rabbit indexes on this site; State Rabbit Breeders Index and the Rabbit Breed Index. Each state and ARBA recognized rabbit breed has its own breeders directory page. This way rabbit enthusiasts can search for rabbit breeders using multiple methods. I personally prefer searching for breeders using the state index due to the fact that the results are targeted by location. Some people who are interested in buying a rare rabbit breed find the breed index more useful due to the fact that breeders might not be listed in every state.
To get started check out one of the following indexes:
– State Rabbit Breeders Index
– Rabbit Breed Index
– Meat Pen Rabbit Breeders Index (New)
Next click on either your state or breed sub-page.
Now you should see a list of rabbitry listings along with several directory links towards the top of the page. Note: Breeder listings are listed alphabetically, NOT by preference!
If you are looking on a state breeders page you should see a full rabbitry listing including a description provided by the breeder. On the breed index pages you will only see contact information, however you can follow the state hyperlink to view the rabbitry information.
Good Luck + Happy Rabbit Raising!
